A visit to Planet Earth Museum at Mysore
Today my son and me visited Planet Earth Museum near Hebbal Industrial Area, Kuppedada which was just 5 kilometers away from Hootagalli. The road to the museum is very good from here as it is KRS Road and its very broad road and no traffic at all! This place can be easily located online on google maps and the contact number of this place is also found online. The aquarium has an entrance fee of 100 Rs for elders and below 10 years it is 75 rs. It is quite a decent place located on the main road itself not so difficult to find it.
The place is a huge campus which is neatly maintained and decorated very well with the aquatic creatures. The entrance itself is very interesting thing to watch, which has the mouth of a shark. You feel that you are entering into the shark’s body J. My son was quite happy seeing the place as it has so many different kinds of fishes and miniature art works too. I am sure kids will love their visit if they come down here, and you can spend 3 to 4 hours in a day here with your kids. You can also organise a birthday party here.
I liked the collection of fishes here though not a very much like a big aquariums in international level but it is a decent place to visit in Mysore you cannot compare it with the big cities. I am sure your little ones will like to be here with the animals and fishes around. The variety of fishes are so many that you have to visit it personally to see along with the kids. Schools around this place can arrange a day’s trip to this place too and they can get the knowledge about the different kinds of fishes. My son was very happy to be here and he was so excited to see so many huge and so tiny fishes too.
This place has a small collection of animals like rabbits, pigeons, guinea pigs, python, hens, ducks, dogs, Persian cats, pony, sugar gliders, parrots, turkeys, iguanas etc. There is a small park for kids to play around for some-time it is a well maintained place. Yes, you can also take lots of pictures with your kids here as they have so many different kind of aquatic statues too. Hope you will also enjoy the short visit here as I did with my son!
